COVID-19 UPDATE: Virtual Judging and Competition Date Change

The Melbourne International Beer Competition will take place on the weekend of 17-18 October, 2020.

Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, we have made the decision to run a Virtual Judging Panel. This panel is still made up entirely of real trade buyers, who will be judging the beer in the safety of their homes or businesses.

To alleviate any issues that may have arisen with regards to shipping and sample delivery, we have moved the date to the weekend of the 17-18 October.  

We are undertaking extra precautions to ensure the warehouse staff, our delivery team, and our judges are kept safe and well.  The samples will be carefully managed under strict security protocols, and delivered by our staff to the judges homes or business across Melbourne.  All submissions will be assigned an individual numeric SKU, to ensure the integrity of the data and the scores.

Please send us blank bottles and cans with the assigned “SKU” generated from the online submission process. If you are submitting by submission form mark the bottles or cans with the style type and category code by marker or tape.

Award Announcement: Week commencing 1st November, 2020.
